Michael Kaplanidis

Michael founded the company in 2006 with a purpose: to make tax season easier for everyone who files taxes. Michael serves as president and senior tax preparation professional at Water Street Associates. He personally meets with individual and business clients at their workplace, bringing his expertise to every Water Street client.

Before founding Water Street, Michael was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen, serving middle-market clients in various industries. From start-up organizations to family-managed businesses to public companies, he developed tax solutions that helped his clients remain competitive.

Earlier, he worked with Coopers & Lybrand, developing an in-depth understanding of the business world and the tax challenges that businesses face. At Coopers & Lybrand, he developed a solid foundation in researching tax issues and in preparing all types of tax returns, including consolidated corporate, partnership, individual, and expatriate returns.

Michael's management skills, combined with his accounting and tax knowledge, result in the extraordinary level of satisfaction and success reported by Water Street's clients.

Tricia McCabe

Tricia joined Water Street Associates in 2008 as a tax professional. She has over 15 years experience in both corporate and individual tax compliance, planning, and research. Her expertise also includes extensive knowledge in dealing with U.S. expatriate and foreign national returns.

Tricia has been independently operating a small tax practice before merging with Water Street Associates. Her expertise and knowledge allows her to focus her attention on individuals and small businesses with extreme attention to detail and professionalism.

Tricia began her career at Coopers & Lybrand where she gained valuable auditing and accounting skills before developing her tax expertise. She concentrated on the tax preparation, review, research and planning for multistate corporate clients and high net worth individuals. Subsequently, she became the tax manager of compliance for PerkinElmer, Inc., a large multinational public company.

Tricia brings strong analytical and problem solving skills to assist Water Street's clients with their tax needs, minimizing, when possible, their overall tax burden.

Ed Weinberg

Ed serves as COO of Water Street Associates, bringing his extensive management, financial, and tax planning experience to our clients. Ed has been a licensed CPA in Massachusetts since 1994 and a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1999. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand, specializing in taxation, focused on personal and middle-market corporate clients. After earning his MBA, Ed further enhanced his business acumen with senior financial planning positions with organizations in the service and manufacturing industries. Most recently, Ed was a Senior Manager of Planning and Analysis at Liberty Mutual Group's Personal Market in Boston.

Throughout his career, Ed has focused on helping individuals and organizations meet their financial objectives and maximize after-tax earnings and cash flow.
